This Durham Ranger hand painted salmon fly is one of the classics from the early days of Scottish fly fishing on the River Tweed. It appears in the book A Book on Angling by Francis Francis in 1867, but harkens back to the 1840’s. A striking and colorful fly with jungle cock feathers. This fly is hand painted and signed by Rita Schimpff for Heritage Game Mounts. It is framed in an oval black wooden frame with a gold leaf accent. It measures 6.5″ X 8.5″.
