Framed Salmon Fly – The Durham Ranger
Here we have a beautiful small framed Salmon Fly – The Durham Ranger, one of the classics from the early days of Scottish fly fishing on the River Tweed. It appears in the book A Book on Angling by Francis Francis in 1867, but harkens back to the 1840’s. This classic fly is hand tied on a black salmon hook, hand sewn onto black velvet and framed in an oval wooden frame that has been accented in antique silver leaf. Frame measures 4″ X 5″.
